My name is Scarlett. No last name, no bells and whistles to announce my coming. I'm not the evil that's crawling around under your bed or skulking in your closet. I'm just a woman with a mission, that's all. I was born to a mother that I'll never know, and to a father that will never know I exist. Someone asked me once if I wanted to know about them. I had to sit in silence for a few moments to think it over. Either way, it doesn't really matter and that's how I answered him. I've lived my life without definitions, and I wouldn't want to start now. My loyalty will always be to myself first, my sleeper cell second, and my organization third. Family doesn't fit into the equation, because they were never there to begin with.
Honestly, I should be more fucked up than I am. A few key moments in my short life however have kept me sane enough to realize the subtle shades of grey that life constitutes. I read constantly when I'm not at work. Work is for the Collective in espionage and counter-intelligence. I was recruited when I was fifteen. Hana, my former 'guardian', worked for the Collective, but was a double agent also in an alliance with the White Devil Tigers. She abandoned me at the time, and to those who rescued me from nearly being sold into prostitution, they will forever have my gratitude. Those people were the people who I know work with in the sleeper cell. We are on verge of becoming a high risk cell, close to breaking away from the Collective itself because of the poor mismanagement. They gave me a tutored education, as well as an education in espionage. They made me realize that I was intelligent and that I caught on very quickly where others would start to falter.
They are my family.
Every time I slip out of the shower I happen to look at the scars that lace my body in random. I can remember how I got each one. I can remember every time they healed, what a miracle it was that I was even alive. Being that young, I had no clue that there was something better outside of abuse and that ten year old girls played dress up, not smack down. Despite all of the pain, I always knew there would be a way out, a ray of sunlight that would pour out from a crack, peeking and teasing my senses.
I'll find my peace and a sanctuary is only a few steps away if only a woman works towards it...
Name: Scarlett
Parents: Will be revealed eventually, but they were/are MI7 agents.
Affiliation: Collective
Position: Sleeper cell agent, espionage and counter-intelligence.
Status: Inactive (though her superiors are unaware that the sleeper cell is about to go high risk and defect from the Collective.)
Languages: English, French, Russian and Japanese.
Skills: Scarlett has been trained since she was 15 years old by who she considers some of the best Collective agents. She specializes in espionage and counter-intelligence. She is good with a gun, as well as working covertly. Since she doesn't know her name or where she came from, there are no ways of tracking who she is
History: Scarlett was one of the many casualties left behind in Hana's wake. Scarlett was named as such because of a cruel joke on Hana's part, the color Scarlett referring to blood she'd be spattered in after a beating. She has no clue who her mother and father are, only that one of them may be Russian. She was abused by Hana who served as her guardian until she was 15 and abandoned and left for the slave trade. She was saved by the watchful eye of those who worked with Hana and disagreed with her methods. The sleeper cell became her family. For years she's been looking for a way to put Hana down for good and have finally succeeded. This of course opens up a great many other problems for Scarlett, especially when it concerns the people who had their vendettas against Hana as well. Scarlett would describe herself as neither evil person, nor good person. She works for herself, and only holds a loyalty to those who raised her who seem to believe in her goals as well. She holds only thin loyalties to the Collective, and believes that it's flawed. She intends on changing that, though she'll have Magdalena Monroe and Sloane O'Rourke to deal with first...
