After being rescued from the hands of the Collective by Mark, Ellis vowed that she would never live through that torture again. She stayed on at MI7 only long enough for her replacement to be found and trained properly in all things MI. After that, she took her pregnant self, and retired to the home that Mark had bought.
Soon after that, Ellis and Mark were married in a quiet ceremony with very few guests, immediate family (minus her sister Naomi of course) and friends (Krista served as her maid of honor). Ellis was content with her newfound domestication, something she had never really had when she was married to Brecken.
Ellis gave birth to their son, Connor, shortly after they were married, and their daughter, Audralynne, two years later. She tried, with Mark's help, to raise them as normally as possible, no doubt sheltering them in the process.
When the kids reached school age, she sent them to public school, which countered the private schools she'd attended in England as a child. With the kids not at home anymore, Ellis needed something to occupy her time. So, she went back to school herself, and got her secondary teaching certificate, teaching high school science. She got a job at the local high school, which would later prompt her decision to send the kids to the MI Academy (where Mark could watch over them) instead of the crazy public school system.
Ellis never really talks about her traumatic past. She only briefly explained to the kids that she had once worked for the MI7 as well, but did not tell of the horrors she had endured while there.
She tires to keep that aspect of her life separate from the life she has now, though occasionally, she serves as a liaison with the training academy that Mark teaches in as a forensics expert. She was, after all, the best there was.
Ellis stayed close to her one true friend, Krista, and because of that, their children ended up being friends. Ellis couldn't be happier about that. She also attempted to make friends with Emma, seeing as how she was her husband's best friend.
When Naomi went into hiding, she, despite the bad blood of the past with her, promised to watch over Russel and keep him safe. She has the hope, though, that one day her sister will be free from the Collective, and will be able to live a normal happy life.
